NMB STP STRANDING #8

 A CALL COMMING INTO THE NMB STP HOTLINE FROM DNR ABOUT A LARGE DECEASED SEA TURTLE FLOATING BY A MARIA JUST AFTERNOON.


Once this large loggerhead is secured in a bay at the Marina, NMB STP Volunteers are able to take the critical information, measurements are taken and any visual signs or abnormalities are documented. As this is an adult female  DNA samples are also taken. 

This Loggerhead Sea Turtle is an adult female, a large boat strike severing a good part of the left side of the carapace. 



One can also see several verical lines on right side of carapace, Propeller
