From day one of protected Nest # 10
To the emergence and inventory day
Now onto the day we all look forward to. Finding out the results of the hard work that all of the NMB STP Volunteers have worked so hard to protect. The patrol talks with each other and anyone wanting to know about the endangered Sea Turtle Species. They share their love and passion of the Sea Turtles and how we can all help in the conservation to help this endangered Sea Turtle Species. Maybe some will be inspired to carry on the work to help keep the Sea Turtle species moving forward and safe as their lifelong passion.
A little information about this Nest is shared with everyone. Because this nest was relocated, we know how many eggs were in this nest before we start the inventory. Anticipation as all are anxious to see how this nest did. From day one this nest has been checked by the NMB STP Volunteers. They make sure nothing is putting these eggs in danger as they mature, hatch end then make their major emergence to the Ocean.

All of the Hatchlings that were alive had all made it out of the nest on their own. An egg that had not hatched was taken around so all could see what a Loggerhead Sea Turtle egg looks like. All are welcome to look at all of the empty shells left behind as the Hatchlings made their way to the top of the egg chamber and then making their way to the ocean to start their journey into the unknown.
