Two more great inventory results for endangered Sea Turtle Nest #2 and #3.
There have been a few days with rain, thunder and lightning. We always take safety precautions when this weather is in the area. Safety always first.
A break in the weather is just what we need, it will be short lived though, so inventories on these two nests are done in the break in weather, but we would work quickly as there is forecasting lightning to be in the area soon.
Volunteers are soon here to help. The Beach that was relatively quiet with beachgoers enjoying the time in between storms have gathered to see what is happening. The NMB STP Volunteers are in their element, talking, sharing and laughing with other like mined volunteers and all that want to know more about the endangered Sea Turtle Species.
Many that have attended this inventory will go home with a new appreciation on how they can also help the endangered Sea Turtle species. Many will share what they have learned, and this just may spark the interest in a lifelong journey for some people that may follow the path to help save the Sea Turtle species.
Information will be shared with everyone here. A little background on each nest will be shared. If any Hatchlings are found that could not come out on their own will be released on the beach to start their magnificent journey of life.
1 Live Hatchling from nest 2 and 3 live Hatchlings from nest 3 are released on the beach to start their way out to their journey of life. will one of these be the ones to make it to adulthood, one will never know but we can hope.
