Inventory results on protected Loggerhead Sea Turtle nest #3

In the early morning hours of the morning of the major emergence of nest #3, as the nest are checked every morning, one hatchling is seen at the top of the nest.  More NMB STP Volunteers are on the way to help.  As morning comes, there are protection measures put in place as this hatchling will make its way to the ocean, sun, birds, more activity on the beach.  The Volunteers watch and protect this hatchling as it crawls from the beach to the ocean.

This nest was inventoried after the specified day after the major emergence.  This wait between the major emergence and the inventory will give any hatchling that may need more time for their development before inventorying.

All are welcome for inventories, many NMB STP Volunteers are there to help as they interact sharing their passion and knowledge with all that have questions.
