Inventory Briarcliffe Nest #6

Final nest and final inventory of 2016 season on the Briarcliffe Beach.  This nest was laid on 


48 days later, hatchlings emerge around 10PM. 


Inventory is performed 5 days later



First one, very active hatchling is uncovered


Then 2 more, but less active hatchlings are found 
at the bottom

Inventory Results:

Nest was laid on July 14
Hatchlings emerged on August 31, 48 days later

112 eggs in original nest, 3 eggs were broken at bottom of original nest, 1 additional egg was taken for DNA

108 eggs moved back, above HTL

85 hatched eggs,
23 unhatached
No dead hatchlings
3 live hatchlings

78.37 hatching success rate
