Inventory Briarcliffe Nest #3

First of 3 nests to emerge on same night, Braircliffe Nest #3 was found on June 26. Mother crawled up a steep bank onto dunes.  Nest was above the spring HTL so left in situ.

51 days later, dunes are filling in with sand, ground cover is growing, hatchlings emerge

Inventory is conducted 4 days later.  Many interested on-lookers

8 whole or unhatched of which

2 appeared to be infertile, 5 died during early development, 1 died in late development, fully formed

No live or dead hatchlings
