On Saturday, May 12th, North Myrtle Beach kicked off the summer season with the
MayFest On Main Street Festival.
North Myrtle Beach Sea Turtle Patrol Volunteers were on hand to give out information and answer questions about the Sea Turtles that visit NMB. They talked about their own experiences as a NMBSTP Volunteer as well.
One turtle did visit our booth. Not the Sea Turtles our volunteers are looking for,
but a nice surprise anyway.
LOVE THAT SHELL!!!
The NMBSTP is a crafty group. Some of our winter crafts were on display.
Winter turtle hatchlings. Handmade ornaments, a hatchling on a sand dollar.
Lets get rid of those plastic shopping bags. Here is a nice canvas bag with a beautiful
sea turtle painted on it.
A great way to kick off the 2012 season. Lots of fun, lots of visitors to the booth and lots of information given out about the sea turtles.
A HUGE THANKS TO ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS WHO GAVE UP PART OF THEIR SATURDAY TO WORK IN THE BOOTH!!!
AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO LEE WHO ORGANIZED THIS EVENT AND STAYED ALL DAY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTHLY!!
The NMBSTP Volunteers are the greatest.
