Nest #16!!! Briarcliffe

Carla called early, Think we have a crawl!

Beautiful long crawl up the beach.  This turtle appeared to nest, a big, well defined body pit.  Then she crawled up toward the dunes and actually circled around the nesting area before turning back toward the ocean.

Rob probed and soon found the egg cavity.

Carla took one egg for the DNA Study

Rob and Carla marking the egg cavity and closing the nest, marking it with a reed

Processing the DNA Egg

Thank you Carla and Don for reporting this nest and staying until Rob could get there.
This nest is located on a beautiful beach with little activity.  It should do great!
