Nest #9 emerged on Sept. 10 at 9:45 PM. A depression had formed around 9PM.
It was high tide and the new moon had just set in the west.
One lone straggler emerged over 2 hours after the mass exodus from the nest and 5 more emerged between 4 and 6AM the following morning much to the delight of "Adoptive" parent Ginny who was on the beach and made sure these 5 little guys made it safely to the water.
Proud "adoptive" parents, Teressa and Ginny who discovered and helped move this nest on July 21, handed out cigars after all the hatchlings marched safely to the ocean.
This is the last nest on NMB for the 2010 season. A big thanks to all the volunteers and to all the spectators who watched this nest for several days.
