NEST #10

After receiving a call from SCDNR about a reported sighting of a nesting female, Rob and I walked the beautiful beach from the Lands End Condo Complex to Briarcliff Acres. We were lucky to come upon two sisters who lead us directly to a nest, not to far from the beach access for Briarcliffe Acres.

The turtle climbed up the face of a small dune, slid down the backside, turned back toward the ocean and nested at the side of the dunes.

Rob only probed about three times before finding the egg cavity. After consulting with S.C.U.T.E, it was decided to leave this nest where it was laid.

Nest 10 for NMB Sea Turtle Patrol!
