False Crawl #8

Steve Huggins with Rick shortly behind him came across a crawl at 49th Ave. North this morning. The incoming and outgoing tracks were about the same length.

The turtle came right up into the V of a sand fence where she encountered some tough vegetation.

We probed and probed, even snapping one probe, but could not find the egg cavity. This has been labeled false crawl #8.
The width of this crawl was 35", the same width as the crawl for nest #2 on June 1st.
She may be back over the weekend!
Thanks Barbara, Steve D. , Rick and Steve Huggins. Linda
