Friday Morning Visitors

This morning, Linda, Rob, Barbara and Steve met with Jennifer Cormany from the SC Department of Natural Resources. Jennifer drove up from Charleston to collect the two eggs from the NMB's nests as well as the one egg from Waties Island's nest. She walked with us from the Cherry Grove Pier to the two nests to get an idea of our beach conditions, how we are conducting our walks and how we are protecting our nests. We discussed many things as we walked, she had numerous suggestions and ideas, but also complimented us on our work so far.

Marla Branson, Meteorologist for WMBF TV News in Myrtle Beach met with us as well. She is currently working on a series about Sea Turtles which will be airing on the Sunday's News at 6PM during the turtle season. She interviewed Jennifer, took video footage of both nests and recorded a discussion between Jennifer and myself. She hopes to air parts of her recorded footage through out the summer starting this Sunday, June 6th. Linda
