From day 1 of protected Loggerhead Nest #7
To the Major emergence
After the specified days after the major emergence the inventory is conducted. Many are anxiously waiting to find out the results of this endangered Loggerhead Sea Turtle nest.
A little bit about this nest is shared with everyone coming to the inventory. A brief description of what will happen at the inventory and why this is done.
All are able to look at the empty egg shells, along with any whole unhatched eggs. They also get to see the deep hole that the eggs incubated in.

While inventory is being done, any Hatchlings that could not make it out of the nest on their own will be shared for all to see at a safe distance.

1 deceased Hatchling

All Sea Turtles are Endangered, they are federally and state protected. Special guidelines, training and permits are required to work with Nest Sea Turtles, Nest, Hatchlings or stranded Sea Turtles.
