As the NMB STP Volunteers work hard, out walking each morning from May 1st until the middle of August, also many Volunteers checking the nest after this.  The Volunteers are eager to see how their hard work has helped in the survival of the Endangered Sea Turtle species.

As time goes on there more and more obstacles that threaten the survival of the endangered Sea Turtle Species.  Each and every protected nest is so important for their survival.

Many NMB STP Volunteers have arrived to help, as beachgoers on the beach come to see what is going on, Volunteers are excited to tell them all about this process of inventorying the nest after the hatchlings have already emerged.

Before inventory is stared, a quick recap is given out on this nest.

The inventory is now done.

The results of this nest are given to all that have come.  A great outcome for this protected Loggerhead Sea Turtle Nest.

All are allowed to look at the egg chamber and see the hatched and unhatched eggs.  Many are amazed at how deep this egg chamber is.  The egg changer is dug with just the mothers back two flippers and typically around 18-24 inches deep sometimes deeper than this for Loggerheads.
