Late night Stranding

Tuesday night, stormy night, storm warnings all around, call comes in that there is a small turtle on the Windy Hill Beach.  Quick trip down, small Kemps Ridley is found around 36th Ave S.  Lightning all around, beach is deserted except for the two NMB Patrol Officers, patrolling the beach, they came across the small turtle and called it in.

Poor thing, left front flipper is missing, large chunk out of it's plastron, neck is ripped opened.  No signs of entanglement,  body condition was good, did not appear to be emaciated......Shark attack??

Small, juvenile, carapace was around 12 inches.
