NEST #8!!!!

Walking south this morning from the Cherry Grove Pier, Brenda and Rod spotted a long crawl just south of the Towers on the Grove Condo Complex. Fellow Segment B walker Anne Hughes was walking North from 5th Ave. N. and came across the crawl shortly afterwards. This turtle had crawled up a short bank, stopped, dug a hole, abandoned the hole, crawled further up the beach, stopped, dug another hole, abandoned it and finally settled on a spot closer to the dunes.

The egg cavity was quickly found, an egg taken for the DNA study and the nest marked and protected.

Thank you Anne, Brenda and Rod. And thank you Vicki and Rex, Segment C walkers who came to assist.
