Green Sea Turtle Stranding #5 NMB

A call coming in in the early evening hours, a Turtle stranding, little movement but still alive.  NMB STP Stranding volunteers are soon there.  Quick measurements and overall body condition is checked out.

As it being too late in the evening to get this Green Sea Turtle to the Sea Turtle Care Center in Charleston, it is determined to bring this Green Sea Turtle to the south Carolina Sea Turtle hospital first thing in the morning.

Frittata is his/her name. She is in the great hands of the South Carolina Sea Turtle Care Center in Charleston.

All Sea Turtles are endangered, they are federally, and state protected.  Special training, guideline's and permits are required to work with or transport Sea Turtles. If you encounter a Nesting Sea Turtle, stranding, nest or hatchlings in North Myrtle Beach or Briarcliffe areas please call
