North Myrtle Beach Protected nest #7 and False crawl # 6

First calls coming in this morning were of a definite false crawl, pictures are sent into the hotline, and its determined a false crawl, where nesting Sea Turtle came up on the beach but did not nest.

But the NMB STP Hotline did not stop at the false crawl another being called in by the NMB STP Volunteers and a good friend of the patrol.  A nice incoming and outgoing crawl and a body pit.

A beautiful body pit right in front of the lifeguard chair.

Many NMB STP are there to help, They are eager and excited to share their excitement, knowlege and passion with fellow volunteers and anyone who is walking the beach and have many questions about the Endangered Sea Turtle Species.

Probing is done and the egg chamber is easily found, because this nest is in a high traffic area and an area with many Highrise lights this nest is relocated to a safer part of the beach.

110 Eggs

The DNA egg is processed, Just the outer eggshell will be used for DNA, as this carries just the mothers DNA.
