The Sea Turtle Genetics Program is desperate need of funding.
This program has previously been funded by a grant from NOAA fisheries, but this funding is no longer available. But there is still such a desperate need for this to continue.
It takes Loggerheads Sea Turtles 25 to 30 years to reach adulthood. As Sea Turtles spend all of their lives in the ocean (coming to shore only to nest or in need of help), this is the only way to answer the many unknown questions to help save the endangered Sea Turtles.
