WHILE THE STORMS WERE COMING IN LATE LAST NIGHT, THERE WAS ALSO A LOGGERHEAD SEA TURTLE COMING TO SHORE TO NEST. A NICE GROUP OF ONLOOKERS WERE THERE, AS ONE HAD WORKED WITH THE ENDANGERED SEA TURTLES BEFORE, MANDY KNEW TO TELL ALL OTHER BEACHWALKERS TO KEEP LIGHTS OFF, STAY AWAY A SAFE DISTANCE AWAY. MANDY HAD CALLED THE HOTLINE, BUT BECAUSE OF THE STORMS COMING IN, THE NMB STP VOLUNTEERS WAITED UNTIL ALL STORMS, THUNDER AND LIGHTENING TO STOP BEFORE GOING TO THE CRAWL FIRST THING IN THE MORNING..
WHILE THE STORMS HAD ERASED A GOOD PART OF THE CRAWL AND BODY PIT, MUCH OF IT WAS STILL VERY VISIBLE.
CINDY HAS AN EXTRA CHALLANGE THIS MORNING, AS THIS TURTLE HAD STARTED DIGGING HER NEST UP IN THE DUNES, DECIDED THIS WAS NOT THE PLACE FOR HER NEST, TURNED AROUND AND NESTED JUST BELOW THE DUNES, BUT CINDY WAS ABLE TO EASILY FIND THIS NEST.
