2nd stranding in less than a week

Denise spotted this little turtle just at the water line while walking early Thursday morning.  Just north of the Sea Cabins Pier.  60th Ave N, Cherry Grove Beach.   She immediately called it in.    

A small, young Kemps Ridley...no apparent injuries, was not thin or emaciated. It's carapace was 12 inches from notch to tip. Fresh dead.....

 

Such a shame.  Thank you Denise for reporting it so quickly
